Description

The CGW-001-POE is a Casambi Cloud Gateway that connects the local Casambi Bluetooth network to the internet for remote control, cloud-based monitoring and integration with third-party systems. Connectivity via Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz, Bluetooth 5.0 BLE and Gigabit Ethernet gives flexible network options. The PoE variant is powered via Power-over-Ethernet (with a supplied splitter), or 5 VDC via USB-C (min 3A) if PoE isn't available, simplifying installation in server rooms or data closets that already have PoE switches but no nearby outlet. Indoor use only, operating range 0…+50°C. The gateway bridges the on-site wireless Casambi mesh network to Casambi's cloud service, required for remote access, cloud-based scheduling and certain integrations. When installing, confirm the connected PoE switch delivers enough power (802.3af/at depending on the splitter spec) and that there's a stable internet connection. Suited to installations with existing PoE network infrastructure – office buildings with structured cabling, for example – where mounting near a data cabinet or switch is preferable.
