The driver is where the control lives. A Casambi driver receives commands wirelessly and dims the luminaire, which means the luminaire itself does not need to be smart.
Choose by output, dimming method and whether the luminaire needs tunable white. Coming from an existing DALI installation, the Salvador route lets you keep the drivers you already have.
Frequently asked questions
The minimum level depends on the driver and the light source. Check the dimming range in the datasheet, especially if the light needs to go very low in, for example, a patient room.
A Casambi driver has the radio built in and is its own device in the network. A standard driver needs a separate control unit to be driven wirelessly.
